IFC drawing submission software
IFC drawing submission software for BIM deliverables
Model deliverables rarely travel alone. BuildRevu accepts the IFC or native model together with the PDF and CAD files for the same revision, so reviewers see one submission instead of three unrelated uploads.
Where model submissions go wrong
- The model, the drawing and the schedule arrive separately and get reviewed out of step.
- Reviewers cannot mark up the model, so their comments end up in an unrelated document.
- Nobody records which model file the approval actually applied to.
- Superseded models stay in circulation because there is no register behind them.
How model submissions are handled
Multi-file submissions
One revision can carry the PDF for review plus IFC, DWG and other supporting deliverables.
Model entries in the register
Drawings and models are identified as their own document types, with settings separate from other documents.
PDF-first review
Review and redline the PDF in the browser; model and CAD files are downloaded by reviewers as labelled attachments.
One decision per revision
The approval outcome applies to the whole submission, so the model and the drawing share a status.
Resubmission control
Sequential revision numbering with a gate on resubmitting while a revision is open.
Linked submittals
New submittals can be linked to a previously approved document to keep the chain visible.

Start with the whole project position, then open the exact workspace behind each figure. Documents retain their revision, redline and approval history; progress, quality, safety and handover use the same controlled-record principle.
Common questions
- Can reviewers mark up an IFC model in BuildRevu?
- No. Review and markup happen on the PDF; IFC and CAD files are downloaded for checking and stay attached to the same revision.
- Which formats can be submitted?
- A PDF is required for review, and IFC, DWG and other deliverable formats can be submitted alongside it.
- Are model revisions numbered like drawings?
- Yes. Model entries use the same immutable document number and sequential revision rules as drawings.
