Construction collaboration platform
A construction collaboration platform built on access control
Collaboration across organisations only works when everybody sees the same record and nobody sees more than they should. BuildRevu scopes every read and write by organisation, project, role and permission.
Why shared folders are not collaboration
- Everyone with the link sees everything, including commercially sensitive material.
- People leave the project but keep their access.
- Each organization keeps its own copy of the truth.
- There is no record of who did what, so accountability is a matter of memory.
How access is controlled
Secure team onboarding
New customers can create a workspace; people joining an existing team use an invitation that assigns their organisation and project access.
Organization and project scoping
Membership of a project, not of the platform, determines what a person can open.
Roles and key teams
Project directories define the key contacts for each organization; project settings define the receiving team per record type.
Submission rights per person
Rights to submit each record type are set on the person's profile, independent of project membership.
Private filing per organization
Each organization keeps its own filing cabinet inside the project, visible only to the people granted access.
Activity trail
Project activity records what was raised, reviewed, decided and closed, and by whom.

Start with the whole project position, then open the exact workspace behind each figure. Documents retain their revision, redline and approval history; progress, quality, safety and handover use the same controlled-record principle.
Common questions
- Can we invite consultants and sub-contractors?
- Yes. Administrators invite each organization and then add its people to the projects they work on.
- Can one organization see another's private records?
- No. Filing cabinets are private to the owning organization, and shared records are visible only to the parties involved and project administrators.
- What happens when somebody leaves a project?
- Removing their project membership removes their access, while the records they created remain intact for the audit trail.
